PHOTOS
Senior Then and Now photos are needed for the Band Banquet Slide Show.
Either email your photos (choosing the smallest size before emailing) to Janet Davis at reeldavisfamily@bellsouth.net, or bring them into the band suite in a sealed envelope. If you bring hard copies of your pictures they will be returned to you, write the name on the back of the pictures.
Deadline to send or bring in pictures is March 25th, as Janet will be working on the show over spring break.Any other fun pictures of the seniors or others can be submitted as well.
STATE FBA SOLO & ENSEMBLE - March 29th-31st
J. P. Taravella HS – We will go one of these dates. I will be asking for Monday the 29th but there is no guarantee we get that date. Any student that wants to perform their solo or ensemble, played a grade 5 or higher at districts and made a superior on it is welcome to perform at State. This is during Spring Break.
END OF THE YEAR BAND TRIP – April 10th & 11th
In order for a student to attend the trip:The student’s band account must be paid in full. This includes the original $425, the Instrument rental fee (if that applies), the uniform rental fee, or anything other monies that might be outstanding (such as apparel fees, etc.).
Students with overages in their account after all fees are paid may apply those funds toward the trip.
A $50 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due by Monday, March 15th. The reason for this deposit: if anyone decides between March 15th and March 26th they do not want to go and we have already given the cost out to anyone going, their deposit will help defray the cost of those going since it will go up with less people going.
The FINAL AMOUNT is due by Wednesday, March 24th. We will let you know the Final Amount by Wednesday, March 17th.
Refunds would be given only in the event that we don’t have enough students who can attend the trip (minimum 40 students) and only if they were paid directly and not paid from their band account.
We estimate that each student would likely pay approximately $110-$135 to attend. Once we have a deposit, we will take a count and quickly let you know the final cost minus the $50 deposit.
This price will include the cost of the bus, hotel (students 4 to a room), lunch on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday and the Busch Gardens ticket. This price does not include any other meals, souvenirs or movie tickets.
The plan is to go to the beach in St. Pete or Tampa , then go to a park nearby for a cookout. After that we will head to the hotel and students will shower and change and either go to the movies or stay at the hotel (chaperoned) and go swimming (if they want). Sunday we will go to Busch Gardens early in the morning and leave the park 5 pm, arriving back home around 10 pm.
BAND BANQUET Saturday
evening, May 1st is the Band Banquet. To be invited, students must
have their band account paid in full.
Marching Band Mini-Camp – May 15th
& 29th – 8 am – 2 pm (for all students including new freshmen)
