Welcome To The Home Of The Seminole Ridge High School Band & Color Guard Program

We value parents and their involvement in the schools' academic and extracurricular programs. Studies have shown that when parents are involved, students achieve at a higher level. Would you like to volunteer? Have any questions? Please feel free to contact Michelle Hofmann at volunteercoordinator@seminoleridgeband.com, she will be happy to assist you!
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION
Dear
Band Parents,
As
of July 1, 2009 all parents/guardians must complete the online Volunteer
Registration to be registered as a volunteer for the school year 2009-2010 (and
summer 2009). Even if you were already signed up as a volunteer last year at
Seminole Ridge or any other school, you must go through the process again
because Palm Beach County School Board policy requires a new background check
for all of the volunteers each year.
Parents, please go to main office at Seminole Ridge High School during the summer office hours which are Monday through Thursday (7:30 am - 5:00 pm) closed for lunch from (12:00 to 1:00 pm). Just click on “volunteer” and follow the prompts and it will take you through the process. It only takes a few minutes and you will be signed up as a volunteer which is required for all band activities.
The
front desk staff will be happy to assist you in your registration or
the logging of your one hour. Any other questions regarding Volunteer
Registration can be directed to me at volunteercoordinator@seminoleridgeband.com.
If
you register, stay at the computer and log yourself one hour. Do this
by Clicking Volunteers then Sign In, (follow directions) then Click to
Finish.
Click Volunteers one more time, then Sign Out (follow directions) and Click to Finish.
If
you cannot come in during these hours, we have set up the evening of August 13th, 2009, which is Freshmen Invasion night, for this purpose.
Please
remember it is a mandatory Palm Beach County School Board policy that each
parent/guardian is signed up in the system as a volunteer to chaperone any event
and it must be done in advance, as it sometimes takes up to 3-4 weeks to get
approved. (This includes practices, football games, competitions, concessions,
fundraising events, etc.) Mr. Skinner will receive an updated chaperone list
each week from the school's Volunteer Coordinator to verify all who have been
approved.
Thank
you for your cooperation on this matter.
Michelle Hofmann, Volunteer Coordinator, Seminole Ridge Hawk Band
